May 5Th News And Updates

Hello XeGamers!  Here's the latest on what's changed and what I would like to bring in.

First, the changes

Greenhouse plugin was removed due to lack of interest and really serving no benefit to our play style.

Wings kit has been extended to 1 use per week. I was wrestling with the idea to put in it at all as I know the pros and cons but I feel

this is a good compromise between keeping it difficult to obtain and rewarding the highest rank with a new feature as well.

Nether star has been removed from the Dultra kit and replaced with 32 Quartz Crystals.

Sponges work again! Height is still an issue but you can place them as before. If you were having issues with this, try again and you should be fine.

NOW, the big stuff.

This is just a list of plugins I and staff would like to have added BUT they make some pretty large changes to how XeGaming has run in the past.

- Idea #1  Allowing for inventory-based world edit within your sponge zones. This would mean limited world edit, within ONLY your sponge zones and it would use up the materials you have

on you. So if you went to set a diamond block wall and only had 3 gems, well...it wouldn't work! HA.  *(This idea has some major testing before being implemented)

- Idea #2  Stop using ChestShops and move to a newer, more robust shopping method that also has a GUI. Here is the link to the one we are considering -->

https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/virtu...-off.8028/

- Idea #4 Swap out Essentials Warp/Homes control for a newer and fancier warps handling plugin like this ---> https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/%E2%9...84/updates

The Hyperdrive does allow for moving the warps already made so there should be no loss in pre-set warps you have created.

Lastly, and this would be a big one

- Idea #5  Link Gotham (City world pvp) to the main world inventory and allow folks to use it as they please. Here's the catch. When I link inventories from a previously isolated world, we tend to lose one inventory in favor of the other. I always try and minimize the damage but it seems to happen regardless.

This would mean that before I did the linkage, I would try and inform EVERYONE to empty their inventories on their character and put them in chests/safe spots before the move.

This would also mean that the economy would drastically change as the available resources would be increased by a large factor. This would also add a whole new dimension to the Builders and Explorers however, so that's nice Smile

None of these changes will happen overnight, as they are large configs and need to be tested before being unleashed upon the public Smile

Also, for those asking about Admin Shop.  Yeah I got sidetracked with moving and server stability stuff. It will happen soon.

Thanks everyone, sorry for the long read but please know these are important changes I and staff would like to implement

As always, Have Fun, and Comment with any questions and concerns!

Awesome change list!

I always liked ChestShop but I guess times are changing and moving to more 'Virtual' setups for these kind of things now. Excited to try that one out for sure!

  • I believe this would be extremely handy for multiple reasons beyond my own personal usage.  With this ability, I could see large towns going up relatively quickly, as well as large projects with multiple individuals.

  • While ChestShop has been great, the convenience of walking around a store was always nice.  Often, if you left an exit, individuals would tour your area.  However, I've always wanted a change from ChestShop, but nothing really competed until the GUI shops became a thing.  This very well be a good way to 'modernize' things.

  • Is it currently stands, members can not delete/recreate their own warps.  IMO, a new warp plugin is a must have.

• This is a great idea for those who tend to make huge mistakes while

building their houses/condos. I can

say that it would have helped me

tremendously a few hours ago, as I needed to remove large sections of dirt from my house and replace it with quartz pillar blocks. Not sure how it would work with removing blocks, but I definitely needed it for placing blocks. I would love to see this as a mechanic for Xegaming.
